Migrants contribute significantly via social involvement, employment participation, company ownership, and community service. The GEC Committee is striving to ensure that migrant rights are fully realized. In line with the United Nations Charter, we advocate, educate, and collaborate to support the promotion and protection of migrants and their human rights. We serve immigrants and help international students and newcomers who wish to live in the region prepare for life in the state and territories of Chicago. We provide information and referral services for the job, immigration and citizenship programs, housing, health care, community and leisure, and legal services.
